     Guess what? Accidents do happen and venues
     are subject to state law.  Therefore almost every
     venue in the country like banquet halls, school
     gyms, social clubs, restaurants, and hotels.  Now
     require whoever you bring in as your event deejay must have and
     provide proof of insurance.

     The thing about this is; that most venues won't tell you upfront the
     day that you sign your contract with them that this is a requirement.
     Why?  Because it usually becomes an obstacle for their sale or after the
     sale;  weeks later they will want to use it as a selling point to offer you
     their preferred dj services that'll usually kick them back more money.
     Never the less this cause "the requirement of vendors to provide proof
     of insurance" is in 8 out of every 10 venue contracts -somewhere in the
     fine print.  Because if someone gets hurt during your event; guess what
     again?  They will not be held responsible.
