6. I don't have a banquet hall yet; can I still reserve your services?
Yes! For us the important thing is
the date. If you know without a shadow of a doubt that your event will take
place on a
certain date we can book your event even if you don't have a venue.
7. What is the average time frame needed to conduct a formal reception event like a Wedding, Sweet Sixteen or Quince?
4 to 6 hours.
8. I've never planned an event before, can you help me organize what all will happen?
Yes! After we have been officially contracted to be your event dj service; we will first schedule consultations with you in order to find
out your likes and dislikes and then adapt them to any format you chose for us to execute your event. With our years of experience
we have lots of knowledge in event management and can assist you by offering you different suggestions should you need them that
you can use to make your event unique. Therefore we can do your event in a more traditional way according to the event your going
to have or we can go completely contemporary. The bottom line is that it is your event and we'll do things the way you want them and
we'll assist you every step of the way.
9. You guys seem great but what are your prices?
Well we can tell you, that we are not your $200 dollar "I just started in the dj business" dj service. Nor are we, thee most expensive
in the land. As those can usually charge you anywhere from 5 to10 thousand dollars for even basic services. Our prices however start
from an average of $500 dollars and it goes up from there; depending on the date of event, level of service, performance time, number
of guests, travel & lodging (if needed), whether or not its a private or ecclesiastical/(ministry related) event, the amount of dj audio,
sound and lighting equipment required, and a number of other factors.
That said we have 3 service plans that can fit most people
looking to have a great time at their event with an experienced, reputable, and insured Christian DJ Service.
So just give us a call - so you can discuss with us the specifics of your event in detail; therein allowing us
to go over our service plans
and other pricing options with you.
10. Aside from being my DJ can you be my Master of Ceremonies / Emcee my event?
Yes!
11. I have a secular love song for my first dance... can you play it for me?
In most cases the answer is Yes! However all secular songs must first be reviewed and approved by ChristianDJs.net before the
event takes place.
12. Half of my guest are not Christians; so can you play regular secular songs throughout the event?
Noop. Sorry, outside of "your program" which usually can include up to and no more than 3 secular songs - we by our part do not
play secular music. Note, if your not going to allow your guest any smoking or drinking then you shouldn't really allow for secular
music. Now think about it - what better time is there to share with your family and friends the best that Christian Music has to offer
than while at your special event. Remember they can always turn on their car radios and tune into the same old worldly songs right
after the event is over if they want. But in the mean time lets share with them the true Love and genuine Joy that is only found in
Christ. Added we have almost every beat your family and friends would want to listen and dance to with the great exception that it is
all clean, uplifting, and positive music.
13. Why do I see people dancing in photos of your events
"if you are" a Christian DJ service?
Well, go grab your Bible and let's see what it says regarding the subject.
Please take your time and not only read the verses noted
below but rather the
whole chapter so YOU can absorb the full context of what your reading.
Added, take a moment to pray and seek
God's wisdom & revelation regarding this
matter, so that you may do things in accordance to what is pleasing to Him
rather than to
what's
pleasing to man!
Important: The
information that follows below is provided as a means for you to understand why
we allow "family friendly dancing"
at our events
should the client want it. It is not, nor is it intended by
us to enter into any sort of theological debates.
Therefore, you should please
note: that if you for whatever reason do not want any dancing at your event that'll
be just
fine with us and we will happily respect your wishes.
That said, allow us to start
with the first verse found in:
Exodus 15:20
(Chapter 15 / Verse 20) - says: "And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and
all the
women went out after her with timbrels and with dances."
This moment is recorded in the Bible
as the Israelites having just crossed the Red Sea and all of Pharaoh's Chariots
are defeated as
the waters closed. Here in this example; we have God's
very own chosen people celebrating their freedom from 400 years of
slavery &
breaking out in song and dance.
By the way, they weren't in church (or in a like kind setting) neither were they
"Dancing in the Spirit".
1
Samuel 29:5
(Chapter 29 / Verse 5) - reveals:
"Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in
dances, saying, Saul slew his
thousands, and David his ten thousands?
This is very interesting! As
this verse reflects and accounts for a story for which David's acclaim from
the people of Israel (aka the
Hebrews, aka the Israelites, aka What? Oh yes -
God's Chosen) is brought into question and by way of that into the conversation
itself between Achish and the princes of the Philistines. The context of
this verse as we bring it to you is that David's fame preceded
him. And
that it
was WELL KNOWN even to David's enemies; that the Hebrew people would sing his praises
and dance to the songs
they sang about him as well.
Therefore it is clear,
documented, verified, and proven that the
Hebrew people would use to sing and dance whenever there
was a
reason to celebrate!
Added, because like in this example; these songs and dances were directed to
honor David instead of God; these
dances would have had to been classified as "secular in nature" in other words
God's people were just jamming to the beat while
doing some "plain
ol' regular dancing.
Psalm 149:3
(Chapter149/
Verse 3) - tells us: "Let them praise his name in
the dance."
Psalm 150:4
(Chapter 150/ Verse 4) -
also says: "Praise him
with the timbrel and dance:..."
Notice that both these verses - do not
say: just sway from side to side in your church pew. But rather, they are very clear in that
you can praise God specifically - while dancing!
Ecclesiastes 3:4 (Chapter 3/ Verse 4) - shares with us that:
"...there is a time to dance."
Just like a when a Bride & Groom will kiss right after the Pastor
marrying them says: I NOW
PRONOUNCE YOU MAN & WIFE. So
should the couple with all their
family and friends celebrate in the reception.
Why you ask? Well simply put, because this is thee most
appropriate time to do so.
Keep in mind, just because a couple is married doesn't mean they'll be kissing
every Sunday during the
morning service or while Pastor is preaching. Why? Because... this is not... the time for it.
They are however allowed to
passionately kiss - in Church - at The Altar - inches away
from the Pastor's face - in front of the whole
congregation - and most
importantly in God's Presence - because THAT IS the appropriate time to do so.
Therefore a Celebration such as a Wedding
Reception, Birthday Party, Graduation, or even a Soldier's Homecoming is
more than
enough a reason...
to rejoice all together as one great big happy family. This of course, is done with... family and friends
as well
as with food, song, and
of course - and again - we say with dancing and music. Because THIS IS
thee most appropriate time to do so.
Matthew 11:16-17
(Chapter 11/ Verse 16 & 17) -
states:
"But
whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto
children sitting in
the markets, and calling unto their
fellows, 17And
saying, We have piped
unto you, and ye have not
danced;
we have mourned unto you, and ye
have not lamented."
Here we have Jesus himself;
talking about the current condition of this
generation. Now although the main topic of these verses is
about the Message of Salvation (or rather the lack of a
response to it) by
those who
followed John the Baptist in the wilderness as
well as,
all
the unrepented people of the cities for which He (Jesus)
and the Disciples had went out to. We find that
Jesus is upset to
know, that these people have heard the message and know
the prophecies - YET - they are not reacting to it with
the right response.
Which is - to repent -
acknowledge their wrong ways and accept Christ as their
Savior.
Therefore He uses an analogy that breaks down what He is saying. So that the common man can understand the point He's trying to
get across. Now in order for any analogy to work; you must use terms that your audience will understand. So He uses & relates to
things
in accordance to the lifestyle they know... Therefore, in verse 17 when He is talking about
"...and ye have not
danced;" He is
relating to
the
situation that He is seeing - that people aren't,
responding to the message in the way they should by
accepting Him.
Therefore when correlating
this analogy back to that situation that Jesus is
seeing; we can
clearly conclude that when you do hear music
THE GOD GIVEN - CORRECT - & - EXPECTED RESPONSE is in fact: for you
to
be
dancing to the beat!
In summary, it is because we are a Christian DJ Service that you do in fact see all types of folks dancing at our
events. As
we tend to want to go by and be obedient to what the
God's Word - The Bible has to say about the
subject
instead of the man made rules by which many church
denomination go by. Remember, as Christian's
we have
real TRUE reason for celebration... to actually never stop singing and dancing if you think about it...
and that of course is... because of our SALVATION through Christ.
Again as mentioned above, if you don't want
dancing that
is not a problem for us. If anything, then you
really need to hire our services so that we could use
other interactions so that your event doesn't become
another plain boring Christian event. That said,
for those
who do allow dancing - please note that we
never allow any obscene dancing gestures at any of
our events. As
we are very mind full that all Christian Songs were in fact made to Praise and Worship
first and foremost, the
true King of Kings.
14. I do not want any dancing at my event [WhatSoEver!!!] - can you still do my event?
Yes! You are the client and it is your event - so - if you do not wish for any dancing we will respect your wishes and we we will
accommodate your request by not verbally encouraging or by making any announcements to hit the dance floor. We however
cannot lasso and tie down your guest to their chairs.
15. We only want soft jazz style music for the entire event, can this be done?
Yes it can, but it won't be us that you'll be contracting. And the reason for this is that ChristianDJs.net is most notably recognized
for our intense level of guest interaction. We will get your family, friends, community, and or church up out of their chairs to enjoy the
party and help you to celebrate. Therefore, we can play a number of Christian Jazz / Instrumentals during a specific time frame for
example for the dinner hour - however after that - with us it's time to PARTY.
